Loonies and loose cannons hold the balance?
The results aren’t all in yet – but one thing is sure – the Greens have made history again in Melbourne by re-electing Adam Bandt and also Janet Rice as a new Senator for Vic.
The Greens’ Peter Whish-Wilson is back in Tasmania and Sarah Hanson-Young in South Australia and Scott Ludlam in Western Australia are on course to be returned.
We don’t know yet who the 44th Parliament is going to include.
It looks like a strange assortment of right wing minor parties and unknowns will be elected, hold the balance of power in the Senate – and work with Tony Abbott to achieve their agendas.
